Maria Sharapova defeated Petra Kvitova 6-3, 6-3 Thursday in the French Open tennis tournament semi-finals. In doing so, Sharapova moved up to the world's number one ranking. She faces 21st seed Sara Errani Saturday for the title. If she wins, she becomes the 10th woman all time to win all four major tennis events.
