Max Scherzer of the Detroit Tigers is the winner of the American League's Cy Young Award for the 2013 season and Los Angeles Dodgers' ace Clayton Kershaw is the National League winner. Scherzer had a 21-3 record and a 2.90 earned run average. He got 28 of the 30 first place votes. Scherzer is the fourth Tiger to win the Cy Young honor.
