The NHL Buffazlo Sabres have fired coach Lindy Ruff as a result of the team's inconsistent start to the season. Ruff was relieved shortly after Wednesday's 90-minute practice. The Sabres have a 6-10-1 season record. Ruff was the team's all time winningest coach with a 571-432-162 career record. No replacement has been named.
