Jimmie Howard made 36 saves and recorded his ninth win of the season leading the Detroit Red Wings to a 2-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche Tuesday night. The Red Wings have won four of their last six. The game was played at Joe Louis Arena. Colorado scored late and rushed the Wings net late trying to get the equalizer but it wasn't to be.
