Red Sox Win Game Three

Mike Napoli's 7th inning home run off Justin Verlander produced the only run of the game leading the Boston Red Sox to a 1-0 win over the Detroit Tigers Tuesday night at Comerica Park. The Red Sox take a two to one lead in the best of seven ALCS. Game four is at 8pm Wednesday at Comerica with Doug Fister pitching against Jake Peavy. The Red Sox only managed four hits the entire game. Verlander pitched eight innings. John Lackey pitched into the seventhy inning for Boston. The Tigers had runners on first and third in the eighth inning with one out but Miguel Cabrera and Priince Fielder both struck out to end the threat. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion.
