Pistons Drop Opener to Houston

The Detroit Pistons were outscored 33-15 in the 4th quarter and lost their opening game of the season to the Houston Rockets 105-96 Wednesday night at the Palace. James Harden, newly acquired by the Rockets and signed to an $80 million contract, scored 37 points to go with 12 assists. The Pistons now hit the road for a Western trip beginning Friday night in Phoenix.
