Pettite Un-Retires

The New York Yankees announced Friday they have signed veteran starting pitcher Andy Pettite to a one year minor league contract. If the 39-year old lefthander makes the major league club he will make $2.5 million for the year. Pettite retired after the 2010 season and numerous injuries late in his career were among the reasons Pettite cited.
