Penn State Approves Ice Arena Plans

Penn State's board of trustees Friday approved plans for the Pegula Ice Arena, which will seat 6,000 for varsity hockey which begins with the 2013-14 season in State College. Terry Pegula, an alum and owner of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres, gave the school $88 million to begin a hockey program. Guy Gudowsky is the head coach. The arena will begin construction shortly-- and it will feature two ice rinks.
