Penn State interim athletic director David Joyner said Friday the school will spend $4.4 million in severance pay for six assistant coaches no retained by new head coach Bill O'Brien. Joe Paterno's final pay has not yet been determined. O'Brien retained two former Paterno aides-- Ron VanderLinden and Larry Johnson.
