Okemos Coaching Search Down to Three

Posted: Tue 10:04 PM, Apr 24, 2012

Okemos High School's search for a new head football coach is reportedly down to three finalists, News Ten has learned. They are Jack Wallace, Mike Smith and Mike Crumb. Wallace was head coach for 31 years at Fowlerville before leaving of his own accord and he was an assistant at East Lansing last fall. Wallace lives in Okemos. Smith is the former longtime head coach at Holt who retired and became an assistant at Olivet College. There is no timetable made public to announce a replacement for Paul Palmer who stepped down after seven seasons. Interviews with the final three were conducted last Friday.
