Okemos High School junior Ellie Nichols fired a 65 Thursday to win the Lakewood Invitational at Portland's Willow Wood golf course. She brokoe the course record by four shots. Nichols fired a 68 in a CAAC meet at Grand Ledge Country Club last week then finished 9th from more than 60 players over the week end at Michigan women's GAM championship.
