Notre Dame quarterback Tommy Rees was jailed through the day Thursday in South Bend after being arrested in the early hours of the morning after fleeing a house party raided by police. Rees is charged with felony assault on an officer and also a misdemeaner and a Notre Dame back up player was also charged with a misdemeanor. Rees has not had bond posted as of mid day. Rees started 12 games last season and won eight of them. He is one of four Notre Dame quarterbacks from spring practice vying to start the opening game September 1st in Dublin, Ireland against Navy.
