Notre Dame Coach Takes U Conn Job

Connecticut Wednesday night gave Notre Dame defensive coordinator Bob Diaco its head football coaching job after Michigan States Pat Narduzzi turned it down earlier in the day. Diaco reportedly will get $1.5 million per year. Notre Dame has now lost both coordinators-- offensive coordinator Chuck Martin left two weeks ago for the head job at Miami of Ohio. U Conn finished 3-9 this past season and fired Paul Pasqualoni along the way.
