No New Members Voted Into Hall

For the first time since3 1996, no new members will be enshrined this year in baseball's Hall of Fame in Coooperstown, New York. Voting results of the Baseball Writers' Association were announced Wednesday and no one received the required 75 per cent of the votes. Craig Biggio came the closest. Former Tigers pitcher Jack Morris was on the ballot for the 14th time. Alan Trammell was also on the ballot but only received 35 per cent of the votes cast. The steroids players-- Clemens, Bonds, Sosa and McGwire were also on the ballot for the first time and none came close to election.
