The two teams play Tuesday night at the Breslin. Tipoff is scheduled for 7PM. Never before have two teams ranked so high played each other in the Michigan State University arena.
ESPN will broadcast the game nationally and Earvin "Magic" Johnson is scheduled to be part of the broadcast team.
Tom Izzo said Monday "I think that there have been a lot of big games here and who would have ever think that a game would over shadow your rivalry game, not that this does but it's a big, big game."
MSU's rise to number four also generated a lot of excitement on campus on Monday. News 10 spoke with several students who said they are looking forward to the game and will be watching either at the Breslin Center or on TV.
"Everybody will be very pumped up. I'm hoping everyone will be just as pumped as they were for the Michigan game because this game in my mind is even bigger than that," said MSU Sophomore Becky Barron.
Michigan State has beaten Indiana 17 straight times at the Breslin Center.
