Nebraska Lands New Athletic Director

Nebraska Thursday named Shawn Eichorst as its new athletic director. Eichorst has served ini the same role at Miami of Florida for the past 18 months. Miami promptly named former Maine A-D Blake James as interim replacement. Miami is under NCAA scrutiny in football for alleged rules violations.
Eichorst joins the Nebraska staff next week and replaces the retiring Tom Osborne. He receives a hefty pay raise to $973,000 per year.
