The Washington Nationals beat the Philadelphia Phillies 5-1 Wednesday to finish the regular season 98-64 and clinched home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Cincinnati could match the record with a win Wednesday night but the Nationals own the tiebreaker. Washington will open its best of five playoff series on the road for two games at either Atlanta or St. Louis. Those two play a one game playoff Friday.
