NHL Closer To Work Stoppage

An NHL work stoppage is closer to reality after players association executive director Donald Fehr announced labor negotiations have broken off. The latest development came after the union presented its latest proposal during negotiations at the NHL headquarters in New York Friday. The league has threatened to lock out its players once the current collective bargaining agreement expires on September 15th.
