The NHL announced Thursday it has cancelled the early portion of its regular season-- 82 games from October 11th through the 24th. No word on whether the games might be made up.
The NHL says it has lost $100 million after cancelling all of the pre season. NHL players have been locked out since September 15th without a new bargaining agreement.
