The NFL and its on field officials' union have resumed negotiations after more than a month away from the bargaining table. The two sides are trying to end a lockout that has resulted in replacement officials working the pre season and at least the first week of the regular season. The Detroit Lions open at home a week from Sunday against the St. Louis Rams.
