Phil Mickelson lipped out a birdie putt on the 18th green Thursday and settled for an 11 under par 60 in the first round of the Waste Management Open in Phoenix. Mickelson hit 16 of 18 greens during his round and needed to birdie the final two holes for a 58. He has a four shot lead over several other players. Mickelson made the cut last week in San Diego but finished far back in the pack. He is now 42 years old.
