Michigan outscored Northwestern 18-6 in overtime Tuesday night at Evanston, Illinois and beat the Wildcats 67-55 in men's Big Ten basketball. The game was tied at 49-all after Michigan freshman Trey Burke missed a shot at the buzzer in regulation which would have won it for the Wolverines. Burke finished with 19 points, six rebounds and four assists. Michigan is now 21-7 on the season and 11-4 in the Big Ten.
