Both Big Ten universities in the state of Michigan are sending their basketball teams to Auburn Hills for the opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament.
Michigan State was named a 3-seed in the Midwest Region, Sunday, in the Tournament. They will head to Auburn Hills to play 14-seed Valparaiso, Thursday.
Michigan is also headed to Auburn Hills to play on Thursday. They were given the 4-seed in the South Region and will play 13-seed South Dakota St.
