Michigan Downs Minnesota

Michigan built up a 55-36 lead then held on to beat Minnesota 83-75 Thursday night in men's Big Ten basketball in Minneapolis. Tim Hardaway, Jr., hit seven of eight field goals and finished with 21 points and six rebounds. Teammate Trey Burke had 18 points and nine assists. Austin Hollins led the Gophers with 21. Michigan is now 17-1 on the season and it was the second straight Big Ten loss for the Gophers. It was the first time two top ten teams had met in Williams Arena since 1977.
