Bay City Western's Matt Costello has been named Mr. Basketball in a vote of the coaches association of Michigan. Costello is 6-10 and has signed with Michigan State. Sexton's Denzel Valentine was second in the voting and he also is a future Spartan. Costello averaged 25 points and 18 rebounds per game for his team which won 18 games and a district title this season. He is the 32nd Mr. Basketball winner.
