The Los Angeles Dodgers currently have the best record in the National League and their new ownership group was introduced on the field at Dodgers Stadium during a Wednesday news conference. The group includes Lansing native Earvin "Magic" Johnson who vowed to win on the field. Johnson was emotional at times during his remarks and said "Frank's not here anymore and we should clap for that." Frank McCourt, who owned the team for eight seasons, led the Dodgers into bankruptcy.
The Dodgers will lower parking from $15 to $10 per vehicle immediately. McCourt sitll owns half the parking lots around the stadium and it is unknown if he will change ticket prices to match or not.
