Michigan State senior Caroline Powers shot a one under par 71 in the first round of the Mason Rudolph Championship Friday at the Vanderbilt Legends Club and is tied for first place. The MSU team is 14 over par and tied for 6th place. The 15-team field features six teams ranked in the pre season top 25. Sophomore Trisha Witherby is tied for 18th after a 75 and Allyssa Ferrell fired a 77. DeWitt's Liz Nagel is at 79 and Christine Meier shot 80.
