Michigan State's baseball team needed every bit of its 10-2 lead in Columbus Wednesday against Nebraska in the first game of the Big Ten tournament. The Cornhuskers scored 7 times in the bottom of the 9th inning and had the tying run on third base before the Spartans recorded the final out. MSU had 17 hits on the day and improves to 36-19 on the season. It's a double elimination tournament and MSU next faces league regular season champ Purdue at 7pm Thursday.
