MSU Loses Again to Penn State

Penn State won its second straight one run game over Michigan State in Big Ten baseball Friday, 6-5 at McLane Stadium. Penn State won the opener of the series Thursday 3-2. The Spartans have lost 7 one run games in league play and now sit 12-11 in league play with one final game at noon Saturday.
MSU is now 34-19 on the season heading into next week's Big Ten tournament in Columbus. The Spartans scored four runs in the seventh inning to take a 5-4 lead but Penn State scored single runs in the eighth and ninth innings to win it. Grand Ledge's Tony Wieber took the loss in relief for MSU in the ninth. MSU got a runner to third place with two outs in the ninth but couldn't tie the game up.
