Michigan State's baseball team worked out Wednesday morning then bussed to the Detroit airport at 2pm. It's a long day of travel-- a flight to Los Angeles connecting to San Francisco. MSU will work out in nearby Palo Alto before facing Pepperdine at 4pm Friday, Michigan time in the opener of the double elimination tournament which features host and top seed Stanford against Fresno State in the second game at 9pm. MSU has a travel party of 40 including 27 players. Tony Bucciferro will be MSU's starting pitcher in the opener. MSU is the three seed with a 37-21 season record.
