MSU Bows Out of NCAA Hockey Tournament

Michigan State's hockey team returned to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2008 Friday and lost 3-1 to top seeded Union. The 4th seed Spartans played the game in Bridgeport, Conn. Matt Berry's power play goal with :38 left in the second period cut Union's lead to 2-1 but the Spartans gave up a power play goal to Wayne Simpson in the final minute to cap the scoring. MSU finishes the season 19-16-4. Will Yankakeff played goal for Michigan State.
