MSU Women Take Third in Golf Tourney

Michigan State's women's golf team tied for third Tuesday in the Central District Invitational tournament in Parrish, Florida. Senior Caroline Powers lost in a playoff for medalist honors to Augusta State's Natalie Willie. Both were one under par for the 54 holes. SMU claimed the team title by two shots over number 12 Vanderbilt. Spartan Allyssa Ferrell finished ninth at 6 over par. The MSU women return to action March 29-31 at the Bryan National Collegiate in Brown Summit, N.C. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion.
