MSU To Induct Six into Athletics Hall of Fame

Michigan State will induct six new members into its athletics hall of fame in ceremonies at the Wharton Center Thursday night. The group will then be introduced at Saturday's football game against Eastern Michigan.
The new members include former football stars Clinton Jones and Carl Banks. Jones was a star running back on the Spartans superb teams of 1964-66. Banks was a star linebacker from 1980-83 before heading into the NFL. Former MSU basketball scoring star Shawn Respert is also being enshrined along with former golfer Emily Bastel, three sport star Diane Spoelstra and former gymnastics coach George Szypula.
