Michigan State's men's basketball team outscored Boise State 18-9 over the final four minutes and beat the Broncos 74-70 Tuesday night at the Breslin Center. MSU trailed 61-56 but Keith Appling made two key driving layups down the stretch to send the 15th ranked Spartans to their third win in four games.
Appling had 22 points to lead the Spartans who played most of the game without freshman starter Gary Harris who suffered a shoulder injury early in the game. MSU led 38-32 at halftime after trailing most of the first half. MSU hosts Oakland at 8:15pm Friday.
