Michigan State's men's basketball team joined Michigan in a tie atop the Big Ten standings Thursday night with an 82-67 win over Penn State at the Breslin Center. MSU led 467-30 at halftime and was never headed thereafter. Keith Appling did not play, resting a sore wrist, but Adreian Payne returned, coming in early in the first half and finished with 12 points. Kenny Kaminski led MSU with a career high 19 points. MSU is now 20-3 on the season, 9-1 in the Big Ten along with Michigan. The Spartans next play at Wisconsin on Sunday.
