MSU Loses to B-G in Hockey

Connor Kucera's slap shot from the point, midway through the first period, led Bowling Green to a 1-0 CCHA hockey victory over Michigan State Friday night at Munn Arena. Freshman Jake Hillebrand was in goal for the Spartans who fall to 2-4-1 on the season. The Falcons are now 2-4-2. The teams meet again Saturday night at Bowling Green. MSU coach Tom Anastos announced afterward that freshman defenseman Rhett Holland needs shoulder surgery and is out for the remainder of the season.
