Adreian Payne scored a career high 20 points, all in the second half, leading Michigan State's men's basketball team to an 81-72 win at Penn State Wednesday night. Payne only played the second half after being suspended for getting in a fight earlier in the day at the team hotel with Branden Dawson. Coach Tom Izzo held both out for the first half. MSU led 29-25 at halftime but scored 52 points in the second half.
MSU improves to 15-3 on the season and 4-1 in the Big Ten, good for second place in the conference behind Wisconsin. MSU hosts Ohio State at 6pm Saturday.
