The Lansing Lugnuts survived a 5-run rally in the 8th inning Wednesday night to beat the Quad Cities River Bandits at Cooley Law School Stadium. It was the first of a three game series with game two set for 7:05 Thursday night. The Lugnuts took a 4-0 lead in the third inning. River Bandits' manager Luis Aguayo was ejected in that inning for arguing balls and strikes. The Lugnuts now have an 11-8 record in the second half of the Midwest League season, 58-30 overall.
