Chris Ellison singled in the winning run in the 9th inning Wednesday night giving the South Bend Silver Hawks a 4-3 win over the Lansing Lugnuts at Cooley Law School Stadium. The Lugnuts went out in order in the bottom of the 9th to watch their record fall to 11-2. Lansing won the series two games to one and next open up a four game series Thursday night at Burlington, Iowa.
