LANSING, Mich. – Lansing Lugnuts single game tickets will be released to the public on Wednesday, coinciding with the first day of Spring.
Tickets to the Crosstown Showdown presented by Auto-Owners Insurance as well as all 70 Midwest League home games will be available for purchase starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning at lansinglugnuts.com and the Cooley Law School Stadium box office.
“It’s the 18th season of Lugnuts baseball and we’re celebrating with giveaways, including free flat screen TVs, fireworks and even better drink specials,” said General Manager Nick Grueser. “Wednesday is our fans’ first chance to get a ticket to the game of their choice.”
The popular Crosstown Showdown exhibition, presented by Auto-Owners Insurance, opens the home schedule on Thursday, April 11th, with the first 2,000 fans receiving a commemorative baseball and the first 5,000 fans receiving a 2013 magnet schedule. Then join the Lugnuts on Friday, April 12th, celebrating the start of the Midwest League schedule with a 2-for-1 Freebie Friday! All fans who buy a hot dog, burger, popcorn, pretzel, soda, snow cone or waffle cone will receive a second for free.
New for 2013: On five Flat Screen Fridays, presented by Auto-Owners Insurance, the Lugnuts will give away a flat screen TV each of the first eight innings. “We can’t wait to see the look on our fans’ faces when they realize they’ve won a flat screen TV!” said Corporate Partnerships Manager Michaela Vryhof. The anticipation will build on May 3rd, June 7th, July 5th, July 26th and August 9th.
The “Freebie Friday” theme continues with Kids Eat Free on May 17th and June 28th: All kids age 12 and younger will receive a free hot dog, bag of chips and soda. On June 14th and July 12th, the Lugnuts will host Seniors Eat Free: Every fan age 55 or better, or with an AARP card, will receive a free hot dog, popcorn and soda.
Labatt Blue Light Thirsty Thursdays return with newly-reduced $1 beers. The Lugnuts will also host in-park Labatt Blue Light Pub Crawls on April 18th and June 27th, with new drink specials announced every other inning, as well as four Plaza Party concerts, two of which will fall on Labatt Blue Light Thirsty Thursdays.
Ready for fireworks? Cooley Law School Stadium will host 17 LAFCU Fireworks shows on select Friday and Saturday nights, with special Independence Day spectaculars on July 4th and 5th.
Eat-A-Palooza presented by Gordon Food Service returns this season on May 4th and August 20th, providing the value of $18 for a ticket and all-you-can-eat inside the ballpark.
Every Sunday home game is a Kids Day: Play Catch on the Field before the game and Kids Run the Bases after the game!
Every Tuesday home game is a Dollar Deal Day, featuring $1 hot dogs, sodas and ice cream sandwiches.
88.1 Smile FM presents three faith-inspired games at Cooley Law School Stadium: Christian Family Nights on June 15th and July 12th, and a Christian Family Concert on Sunday, August 18th.
On Friday, July 26th, the Lugnuts will honor those who currently serve or have served the United States in the military with Salute to the Armed Forces Night. A special LAFCU Fireworks show will follow the game.
Saturday, August 24th, is Lugnut Charities Night presented by Dan Henry Distributing. The Lugs will honor their partner charities for the 2013 season, culminating with the annual Lansing Lugnuts Jersey Silent Auction with all proceeds to benefit the Capital Area United Way.
The Lugnuts wrap up the regular season with Fan Appreciation Day on Monday, September 2nd. Hot dogs will be just $0.50 each, with a full team autograph session held on the field after the game.
