Lugnuts Lose 4th Straight

By  |

The Lansing Lugnuts (28-34) dropped their fourth consecutive game, falling 5-2 to the Great Lakes Loons on Sunday afternoon at Cooley Law School Stadium.

With the loss, the Lugnuts were officially eliminated from securing a postseason spot in the first half of the season.

Lansing looks to avoid the sweep against the Loons on Monday night at Cooley Law School Stadium, with knuckleballer Frank Viola III making his first professional baseball appearance since 2010. Right-hander Brandon Martinez will start for Great Lakes.
