The Lansing Lugnuts have added outfielder Dwight Smith, Jr., to their roster. Smith was drafted 53rd overall in 2011 by the parent Toronto Blue Jays. He is rated the #14 prospect in the Blue Jays' organization. His father, Dwight, Sr., finished second in National League rookie of the year balloting in 1989 en route to an eight year big league career with the Cubs, Angels, Orioles and Braves. Infielder Shane Opitz has also been activated from the disabled list.
