LPGA Tour Returning to Michigan

Tournament coming next August to Grand Rapids

The LPGA tour has scheduled a regulation tournament next August 7-10 at Blythefield Country Club in Grand Rapids. It is the Meijer's LPGA Classic. The purse is $1.5 million with a full field of 144 players set for the 72-hole competition. The LPGA tour last was in Michigan in 2000 with the ninth and final Oldsmobile Classic at Walnut Hills Country Club in East Lansing.
