Kick Coverage A Major Issue For Lions During Bye Week

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -- The biggest concern for the Detroit Lions about their special teams coverage is that there's no one problem they need to correct.
Detroit allowed touchdowns on a kickoff and a punt Sunday in a 20-13 loss to Minnesota, and as Jim Schwartz pointed out Monday, on the kickoff, nobody came all that close to stopping Percy Harvin as he ran toward the end zone. On the punt return, there were several missed tackles.
It was the second straight week Detroit allowed both a kickoff return and a punt return for a touchdown -- the first time that's happened in the NFL since at least 1940. The Lions have an open date next weekend, so they'll have time to try to figure things out.
