FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -- No. 1 Notre Dame and No. 2 Alabama got in another day of work Friday before next week's BCS championship.
The Fighting Irish practiced for about 75 minutes while the Crimson Tide put in about two hours. Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly declared the Irish are "ready to play."
The game has implications for the Crimson Tide even beyond a national title. If Alabama wins, it will have captured three of the last four titles -- and could legitimately be called a dynasty.
Just don't say that around coach Nick Saban. Alabama players say he never likes to talk about what they call the D word.
