Derek Jeter is ready for another step along the comeback trail. The New York yankees' captain is recovering from surgery on the ankle he broke during las tyear's playoffs and says he'll make his first spring training start at shortstop Wednesday night against the Philadelphia Phillies. Jeter has played two games as a designated hitter.
Manny Ramirez, meanwhile, says he is starting a new beginning after signing a short term contract to play with the EDA Rhinos in Taiwan's professional baseball league.
