New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter announced Wednesday that the 2014 season will be his last. Jeter, 39, will play his 19th and final season and then retire. Jeter played only 17 games last year because of a nagging ankle injury. The Yankees final series of the regular season will be in Boston against the Red Sox Sept. 26-28. Jeter was a star in high school at Kalamazoo Central.
