Jeter Returns to Yankees

Derek Jeter returned to the New York Yankees' lineup Thursday after a nine month layoff with a broken ankle. Jeter, who batted second and was the designated hitter, singled on the first pitch he saw from the Kansas City Royals. He went one for four with a run scored and drove in a run.
