Individual Honors For Lugnuts

The Midwest League announced Wednesday the Lansing Lugnuts' John Tamargo has been named the MWL manager of the year. In addition outfielder Kevin Pillar has been named the league' smost valuable player in a vote of the field managers.
Tamargo has led the Lugnuts to a franchise record 79 victories with six games remaining. He is in his first season as manager after serving the Lugnuts as hitting coach for two seasons. He is from Tampa, Florida.
Pillar, 23, began the year with the Lugnuts and starred in his first season. He leads the league with a .322 batting average.
