Indians Fire Manny Acta

The Cleveland Indians Thursday fired manager Manny Acta after nearly three seasons on the job. Acta's record ended up at 214-266 but the Indians are 21-50 in the second half of this season with six home games remaining against Chicago and Minnesota.
Bench coach Sandy Alomar, Jr., will take over for the final homestand. Acta had managed the Washington Nationals to a pair of losing seasons. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion. Please respect and abide by the house rules:
